PROJECT - Log Home

Scroll down for more information

Old England Builders saw the potential in this dilapidated property that had been left out in the harsh Colorado weather for 2 years.  The house is located 10,000 ft up in the Colorado mountains, where the harsh weather took it's toll on the property.  The log beams were extremely weathered due to the harsh winds, heavy snow and Spring rains.  The logs had to be sandblasted back to white wood, then treated with Borate product, hand sanded, stained and chinked.  The roof was hand cut by Jake himself.  Due to the house having a being a finished vaulted ceiling the insulation process had to be reversed.   The work on the property shows the diverse knowledge, vision and attention to detail that Old England Builders can bring to your project.
